WHY BOUGIE?

Referring to luxurious in lifestyle yet humble in character, I thought this name was perfect for what my vision was;  offer affordable, natural Soy – hand poured candles, without compromising on style! But the name also comes from French origin meaning ‘wax candle’ so it made sense.

I have been fortunate to travel the globe in my career over the past 20 years and I have always found the sense of smell to be so powerful.  The memories I get when I smell certain things take me back to some of my favourite places.  So, a lot of the scents I use come from this. It might be the cocktails I have had, or the sunscreen I have used, or an amazing dinner or sometimes it is just a time in place.  I hope my candles allow you to reminisce as I do.
